Competence Center Technology Transfer (KTT)
The Competence Center technology transfer (KTT) is an important link between research and enterprises. The KTT advises researchers within the NGFN with regard to all issues concerning patent law and business. Furthermore it supports the technology transfer in the German Programme for Medical Genome Research by coordinating the activities of the various technology transfer offices and improving communication within the network. Its tasks include reviewing all planned publications from the Programme for Medical Genome Research (Publication Screen) and requesting reports on completed technology transfer activities (Technology Transfer Reporting Database).
In addition the KTT is the central contact point and information source for companies that are interested in benefiting from the research results from the NGFN. Via Genome Marketplace (www.genome-marketplace.de) it offers potential industry partners clear and easily viewable access to licensable technologies and materials from the Programme for Medical Genome Research (Technology Offers).
Thus, it is ensured that research results are swiftly put to use and transformed into therapies to benefit the patient.
